What would high school be without a school play? Extra credit for identifying the performance.

What would the 1950’s be without a crocheted afghan thrown over the sofa?

That’s OK Buzz. I have them around my house too. Some of them look similar to the one in the photo

I have that exact same tinted photo of Mt. Hood and Lost Lake, it came from my great aunts house! It’s interesting colors in the tinting, all mossy greens, soft grey blues with the clouds and sky reflection yellow. Also shows some a couple of patches of standing snags at the south end of the lake. It’s fairly large, 38"x 17". Seems like there’s one much like it hanging at The Baldwin Saloon in The Dalles as well.

Wy’east wasn’t completed until after the 1952 school year started. In that year, a lot of the early classes were held in the Odell High School until the new building was completed. This looks like the Wy’east cafeteria/gym area, and the guy pulling looks a lot like Gene Boles, class of 1955.
