Notes
While Cloud Cap Inn looks very much like it did in 1889, it’s undergone many major renovations over the years. This image shows a Crag Rats work party at Cloud Cap in September of 1959. It looks like this entire (south?) wall is being rebuilt. This explains why my efforts to match individual rocks or logs between Anne Lang views and modern views have never been successful.
The Crag Rats maintain the site under an agreement with the US Forest Service. I believe the most recent major renovation was the recent replacement of the roof. It’s hard to imagine the sort of weather this building is exposed to even in a mild winter at timberline on Mt. Hood.

My Dad, Les Hukari, is leaning on the trailer with hand on hip. Far right is Bill Gale. Not sure who the guy in the checkered cap is or the guy with the pipe in the middle of photo.
