Notes

The Davidson ladies are out for one of their excursions, but I can’t come with any plausible explanation for the location/dress/shopping bags. Time to exercise your imagination to flesh out this story. Any guesses?

Maybe just got off the river boat after a trip to Portland?

The hill in the background looks familiar but I can’t place it. Are they on the Washington or Oregon side?

    Brown bag lunches?

Is the ground sand covered … hence along the river perhaps east near The Dalles …. ?

I believe the nice clothes and shopping bags indicate a trip to Portland or The Dalles by boat..

LE, if that is a road climbing at the left it might help with your location. Such nice dress in a remote location is not logical without a structure nearby..

Is that Underwood Mt., half logged, in the background? That would place them down by the river in sand when the river is low. Pre or post a boat ride to where ever.

I agree about Underwood Mountain. Perhaps they were having a brown-bag get-together with ladies on the Washington side? Perhaps this was taken in Bingen?

Great eye Melody – I’m in agreement. See this link – it seems the wind is up …

Perhaps this was in fact a picnic outing … just below West Cliff drive – a walk down at from the eastward end- from this residence .. ( again for up for sale ) https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2384496451816394&id=1450316215234427&set=pcb.2384498211816218&source=48&refid=13&__tn__=%2B%3D
