It looks like the Hood River Fire volunteers are learning proper technique to prepare a patient for transport to the hospital. Does anyone know any of the volunteers?

Can you tell us some more about Johnny Murray?
Charlott
John Robert Murray was from Stoneham, Mass. orginally. His parents were Edward William and Georgia (Hatfield) Murray. He married #1 Eva Marie Flint, who was from the Dee area. They had one daughter, Christy. He married his second wife, Donna Mae Green and they also had one daughter Teresa Joanne. Teresa had Downs Sydrome and died at age 30. Johnny was the conductor/brakeman on the Mt. Hood Railroad for many years. Always had a wave for you if you were driving along the train or at a crossing.
He was born in 1914 and died in The Dalles in 2000.
Arlen L Sheldrake
and Christy was a classmate in the HRHS class of 1959
Scott Hamada
The dark haired man in the plaid jacket in the middle of the picture is my father, Minoru Hamada. He was a volunteer for the Parkdale Fire department for over 50 years so maybe this was a training session for volunteers from some of the rural districts.
