Historic Hood River
View Down Oak Street, 1913
1-30-2025

Notes
This is the remaining piece of the 270 degree panorama from Oak and 3rd, captured in 1913. This view looking east shows the Hood River State Bank on the NE corner and the Smith Building on the SE corner. You can make out Cram’s mens clothing store on the north side of Oak and a stationery store on the south side. Some fun details include a barbers pole and a public scale.

I’m repeating my comment from a few years ago however I have a shoe button hook from Cram’s clothing store.

It is nice to drive through downtown Hood River and no longer see all of the power poles. Alva Day might have missed them though.
