Historic Hood River
Unfair To Organized Mountain Climbing

Notes
There must be a story here, but it’s not recorded in our archives. It’s unclear what issue is being protested. Any of you Crag Rats know the story behind this one? And can anyone ID the building in the background?
Christian D. Nickelsen was a Hood River County Judge from 1938 until his death in 1946. Of historical note was his 1941 joint order with the Hood River County Sheriff advising alien Japanese to remain on their premises unless accompanied by a US citizen.
And for regular followers of “Historic Hood River,” I’ve completely rewritten the Mystery Monday post from two weeks ago based on the research of readers.
