Historic Hood River
Golden Hour
5-26-2017

Notes
There’s a reason photographers call the hour around sunset the “golden hour.” This 1996 photo by Micheal Hildreth shows windsurfer Corwin Hardham enjoying the fading light at the Hatchery just west of Hood River.

Nice picture. But I preferred the early morning hours before the heat and wind. The gorge has a lot of moods.

This has got to be mid-afternoon, not sunset, with color added. The clouds are lit from above.

Thursday evening was the scholarship award ceremony at the high school. Corwin’s parents John and Linda presented a Corwin Hardham Memorial Scholarship in Corwin’s memory.
