Historic Hood River

Notes

These folks are taking advantage of a pause in the annual Legion Climb of Mt. Hood to adjust their sun protection.  Since the climb began at dawn they probably didn’t need to worry too much about sun until they reached this ice field.

Climbing equipment and clothing sure has changed.

Unfortunately the date on this image was written in water soluble ink, so it’s no longer legible.
