I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July picnics, parades, and other gatherings. I think this Pansy Dewitt image really captures the spirit of their gathering at the “Bridges Ranch.” I’m not sure who the Bridges were, but this candid view of a 4th of July lunch is dated “1907 or 1908”.

That’s an interesting look but his deep suntan, body with no extra meat, and strong arms muscles says he’s a working man. Whereas the other gentleman has no suntan so must be an ‘inside’ man.
