Notes
We’re fortunate people put the effort into measuring things like river flow so we can monitor short and long-term trends. These foldouts were part of testimony in adjudicating water rights in the early 1920s. This plate shows the flow on the Hood River at Powerdale, Dee, and Mt. Hood (East Fork) for the 1914 water year. I think the first three months should have been labeled 1913.

Very interesting. I would assume East Fork represents flow upstream of the confluence that is just downstream of Punchbowl. So would the flow at Hood River at Dee flow would be the East Fork, West Fork, or the additive flow of East and West Forks downstream of the confluence? The flow at Powerdale would be the additive of both East and West forks, plus all additional tributaries between Dee and Powerdale? One would assume the spikes shown, particularly at Powerdale, would be after heavy rain events between October to May.
