My wife and I taught there in 1966-67, and it wasn’t a hell of a lot better, but the seafood was good. At the welcoming dinner put on for the new teachers, one somewhat drunken trustee said, "We shouldn’t be thanking the new teachers, we should be thanking the ones who stayed for a second year." We always said the best road in PR was the road out of town. It is a much better city now and nice stop up the Coast. A great trip is to go up by ferry and drive back south.
