William F. Cooper was married to Cora Etta Laraway. Cooper would have been Percy’s brother-in-law. Will Cooper and Cora farmed down on Eastside probably around the area where the Laraway’s ended up (corner area of Eastside and Whiskey Creek.)
Wonder if the building was some sort of shop. It looks like this may have been the wood cutting area. They are sitting on the "chopping block" and there is that rick of wood there.

A bit of a posed photo but my goodness what a clear photo. I would say the building was a smokehouse but what would you smoke in an orchard? With the chimney and wood pile, could there be an engine in there or is it just living quarters for orchard workers?

To tie this photo with yesterday’s, Will Cooper’s wife, Cora Etta Laraway Cooper (Percy’s sister) went by "Debbie". She was the "Debbie Cooper" in the Marmon image. This info is from the genealogy in Dean Fletcher’s book.

And….was "Debbie Cooper" the mother of Grandma Flo, in the previous photo?
ArthurB
Yes, L.E., I think that is correct. I believe "Debbie" Laraway and Will Cooper had two children, Florence Adah and Howard Laraway Cooper. Florence Adah was "Grandma ‘Flo".
This family reminds me of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’ "One Hundred Years of Solitude"– every generation reuses the previous generation’s names in a different order, making the genealogies really hard to follow.

Strange assortment of tools, a pick axe, shovels ,and a pitchfork. Building looks very new.
Charlott
Could have been grubbing out stumps to plant new orchards.

Happy to see you figure this Arthur! W.F.’s wife was Adah Permelia. Name passed on to both Florence Adah Cooper and my grandmother, Adah Maurine Laraway. Note spelling.
ArthurB
I think my spell check removed the "h" in "Adah". I’ll correct!
