Historic Hood River
HHR Calendar!
11-9-2015

Notes
Our Americorp volunteer, Andrea Smith, thought the HHR fans might like a wall calendar featuring some of your favorite Hood River images. She’s done a fine job producing a very attractive calendar in time for your holiday gift needs. Since this is our first calendar we only did a small run, but if you email Andrea she’ll put one aside for you to pick up at the museum. Calendars are $20, while supplies last, and all profits help support your history museum. Images are 8.5″x11″ and are nice and sharp on coated paper.

Well, I am disappointed. Last Friday’s photo is not included in the calendar.
I don’t remember the second photo??

NEAT idea…..I’ll sign up for one. and I.E., just what month did you have in mind to spend viewing last Fridays image?

Arthur, what are the cross streets for this photo of the horticultural fair?
Arthur
I believe the horticultural affair in the cover picture (1904, I think) was at 2nd and Cascade (then River Street), right by the train station. It’s possible it was 3rd and Cascade.
Next year’s calendar will be sponsored by Cascarets!

Thank you for all of your help with the Calendar Arthur! I am very excited about it and hope the historichoodriver.com family is too.

Arthur, to help with the location identification, is that possibly the east side of the Davidson Bldg in the background?
Arthur
Yes, that’s correct Bruce. You can see the very end of "Davidson" and a bit of "Hood River" from their sign. This was the wooden building just east of the east end of what we now call the Union Building.

As Arthur says, the supply is limited. Bill Seaton and I got ours….your turn but hurry as they did not order many.
