Notes
This one was scheduled to come up next Friday, but it was perfect for current conditions. I’ve been re-exploring the 500+ negatives from the Davidson collection and I’m finding treasures like this that I missed the first time through.
Obviously a “morning person.” Davidson Collection, circa 1915.

Makes for a number of questions here. Is this a woman? Think it might be. Was this a cabin the person lived in, where was it located? Wonder if that leaning pole is suppose to be like that or the snow pushed it over that way. Can’t get enough of the back ground to get any fix on where this might be located.

Good morning from the banana belt. No snow in Ocean Park, WA. Other than the east wind, and having to pound our tees into the frozen ground, yesterday was another good golf day.

Lots of good eating here–clams, oysters, crabs, halibut. Do you clam north of the Oysterville road?

Yep…sometimes above the "no digging" posts and sometimes below. My husband’s family had summer cabins for rent in Long Beach back in the 1920’s. Even then, Long Beach was dug out and their hard and fast rule was 3.1 miles above Oysterville. We very seldom go that far up any more. The beach has changed so much. My mother in law could remember the tide coming right up to the buildings in Long Beach.
This doesn’t have much of anything to do with today’s snowy photo, so I look forward to visiting with you when we finally have a get together.

Now that’s a cheerful person! The kind you want as a friend. Not to mention someone had to do a lot of shoveling. Guess I’d bettere get out and do some.

In the "looks like" commentary, I’d guess upper west side, or maybe Odell. Looks like the Columbia in the background, judging from the hazy view of Bingen(maybe). I doubt I’d make a great forensics expert! I do like the whimsy this gal shows. "Another day in paradise!"

The Davidson farm was out at Willow Flat. Could it be there?
I’ve looked through some of the other Davidson photos but can’t find a resemblance.
I think a priority for a Davidson photo is that you have to look happy.
