Notes
Here’s the second stage to the fish stocking operation in 1933. One truck carries milk pails full of juvenile fish up to the lake to be stocked, where they are transferred into a large tank in a second truck.

Remember the photo of some time ago at the railroad station where the people were collecting fish when the train came through to take them to other locations to stock.
I see they have pipes/hoses and wonder if they had the means to kind of shoot them into the lakes/rivers or just a free flow system.
Sure wish my Dad were here to tell me all about this….

It is harder to find out information about trout hatcheries than salmon hatcheries.
I have heard stories of men packing, on their back, cans of fish to plant in the high lakes.

These four gentlemen are in the previous photo, dressed the same, so this must be taking place close, and locally.
Evidently not close enough to let the little guys go along on the trip.
Do you think the tank truck is government owned?

Don’t know about goverment trucks, but Department of Oregon Fish and Game wasn’t created until 1935.
