Interesting the use of the word Comrade.
How many stars on the flag? 48?
It is a very clear photo of faces.

The Jewetts were from White Salmon as were the Aggers.
The George Aggers home called “Overlook” is listed on the Washington Heritage Register of Historic Places.

We see the term “Comrade” all over Samuel Blythe's GAR notes and letters. I don't know if that was common usage during the Civil War or if it was a GAR thing.

It is also a good day to remember the role the Navajo Code Talkers played in WW II. Their code was never broken.
