These men took this brand new Nash automobile for a test drive on the Columbia River Highway in 1920. It must have been a thrill to drive such a beautiful car on such a beautiful road.

No further information, but it is too nice a photo not to share. Our collection is full of images like this that offer a glimpse into life in the era, but lack documentation for full historical value.
Maybe Jim can tell us what that Nash would go for today.

I might be suggesting the wrong names here, but,…..
In the January 1, 1920 Motor West: Herbert Field, Hal Nesbitt and J.L. Stewart …will build a $20,000 garage on Fifth St.
In the "History of Oregon volume 3" Herbert Field is president of the Highway Automobile Company. The other two men are mentioned and the autos they sell. Nash isn’t mentioned.

Additional research shows the plates were regostered to Mt. Hood Motors, and I believe the man on the right is "Cap" McCan.
