Hood River Dumb and Bungle Corpse

I suppose I should have posted this on Halloween, but Fun Friday is good enough. The “Dumb and Bungle Corpse” is a takeoff on the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps which we saw in yesterday’s photo. We believe this photo is also from the 1920s. We’ve got IDs for many of these pranksters, though the names are a little hard to transcribe. Add any bio info you can, and feel free to correct spelling:

This may be from a predecessor to the “Pet Parade” we saw a few weeks back. We know it’s not the same year since Rod McRae is in both pictures.

Harry Talmage DeWitt owned and operated a motor company, located where Quinett Winery and Andrews Pizza are now.
Albert William Peters, we naturally know was affiliated with Apple Growers Association.
Joseph Gustav Vogt was the owner and operator of Gents Furnishings, so was a merchant in town.
Elmer Rhodes Moller, not Moeller was also a well known person in the area. I know his son was Bob Moller and suppose that he was probably an orchardist over on the west side.
Take a good look at this photo and the "pet parade" one. It appears to me that both pictures may have been taken at the same location.
Would this not have been something else to see this corp coming down the street in a parade. Why did that generation have all the fun?????

This would have been during prohibition. Maybe they had to think of other ways to have fun.

Interesting to see a picture that shows both Rod McRae and Al Peters. Rod’s widow (Maude) later married Al Peters.
