Historic Hood River
Mrs. May’s 2nd Grade Class
3-3-2015

Notes
Remember to smile for those class pictures, as they will last forever. We have an extensive collection of class photos covering more than a century of Hood River students. This one is Mrs. May’s 2nd grade at the May Street School, in the 1980-1981 school year. Do you know any of these kids?

I wasn’t in Hood River during that time frame, as I was gone after I married. However I do know who Janet May was. She was a Pine Grove native, maiden name was Parks. She has a sister Shirley, who still resides in Hood River. She grew up on a fruit ranch with her parents and sister.
Love the little gal with the yellow tights and glasses…..

Jack and Janet May where great people. I knew the family well as I went to school with their kids.Jack used to submit funny letters to the editor back in the 70’s and 80’s

I don’t know anyone, but I can pick out Tecumseh Thompson. Anyone care to take on Tiffany Greenough?

Only 17 students in one room. Bet you don’t find that any more.

Arthur, If you have any pictures of classes that attended school during 1947 to 1959, I may recognize some of those kids.

I got in some trouble on the home front for making that face! Lol. Mrs. May had a huge impact on my life as this was the year I also lost my Grandma Frankie. She taught me to believe in myself . Great memories.
