Notes
This unusual angle shows the parking area for Koberg Beach, as well as the approach road where it crosses the railroad tracks. I-84 now cuts right through this land, and to drive to Koberg Beach you need to go all the way to Mosier and turn around.
Based on the cars and the power lines, I think this is circa 1935.

This is a great photo, as it gives a good over all view of the entire Koberg complex.
Interesting where the road crossed over the tracks, as I had it in my head the road was much further to the west.
Interesting to see how farming and entertainment went hand in hand.

Interesting historical picture. While change is often necessary and inevitable, we sure could have done a better job of not essentially destroying all that was good about Kobergs.

click on the white back button that appears on the left side of the photo
when yesterday’s photo comes up, it will have the number 878 at the end of the historichoodriver address.
Click your cursor behind the five and delete the 815.
Then type 744 in its place
hit your return key
the photo should come up.

The road down to Koburg from the old highway can still be walked as far as the RR. Available from the Hatfied trailhead.
