Historic Hood River
“Flowers”
3-10-2026

Notes
I recognized this one right away, but only because it’s on my dog walk route. This florist was at 1115 Hull Street in the Heights. In 1916 this was the location of “The Heights Nursery”. This may well be a building leftover from that era.
We learned quite a bit about this building in the 1950s from this post. Hopefully Dale can tell us if the Calmettes still owned it at this time, or if this was the era of Roger and Lindamay Woosley. A sign on the side of the building (not visible in this view) says “Heights Floral.”

Arthur, I think they retired around 1977-78 and sold the business.

Didn’t Bev Rowland own it at that time? Bev’s Flower Basket.
