Hattie Joy Mason was in the Class of 1914 at the Oregon Agricultural College (now Oregon State University). I think that’s her in the front center, but it’s hard to be sure. I’m guessing this is a sorority group, with many of their hometown high school pennants on the wall (including Hood River High School in the center).
It’s likely she lived in Waldo Hall, the extravagant new dormitory which housed the small but growing number of women at OAC in those years. She includes an exterior picture of the building in her album. The building had steam heat in all the rooms, a major innovation at that time. You can learn all about the building and the role of women at OAC here.

I could swear that’s me sitting in the front row, far right. But I wasn’t alive in 1914! That’s cool that there is a Hood River connection. My daughter graduated from OSU. She lived at a co-op named Reed Lodge. Is Waldo Hall still there?
