The cyanotype image and fountain pen inscription fix this in an era, yet after a few seconds my brain fills in the color, the smells, the early spring warmth, and the bees buzzing the blossoms.
This is from one of the Mason family collections. I suspect it’s from the Liberty Home Orchard in Pine grove. With the early spring this year, views like are already working their way up the valley. I expect Pine Grove will look like this many days before May 1.

The apple variety is spelled “Newtowns” as shown on the picture, not “Newtons.”
