Notes
Time for another trip back to the age of brown mustard colored industrial carpeting. These girls are in the “Resource Center” at Westside Elementary, circa 1975, using a modern resource– the “filmstrip projector.” This was the equivalent of a Powerpoint presentation on a strip of 35mm film. These girls would have advanced the film strip a frame at a time as they completed their lesson (unless the bulb burned out, or someone had torn the sprockets on the film).
With a nice clear view of their faces, I’m expecting someone to identify these girls!

1975 I was in third grade.
Douglas Mahurin was the Principal in Rufus, close family friend at that time.
HR residents know him from Pine Grove?

as one who spent a career in K-12 education on the administrative side of technology, 1965-1999, I am absolutely blown away with the advancements, back in my day we delivered filmstrips and film to the classroom via VAN from our central MESD library. this is a great picture. on demand video down a wire……you have to be kidding.

@Kyle, the difference is you are viewing it visually and I can smell it. Seeing those colors evokes the odor of mold mixed formaldehyde from off-gassing, Scotch Guard and all the industrial fluids they used in that era to keep us “clean”.
