Notes
In 1947 you could get a hamburger and gasoline at the Cooper Spur junction. The sign exhorts visitor to “Try Our Delux Hamburgers and Fresh Homemade Pies with Real Coffee.” I can’t quite make out the price of gasoline, but it looks like 18 cents before tax.

I don’t know why, but I really like this photo. I guess because everyone looks so happy and content.
Charlott will probably know some of these nice looking people.
Evidently, even in 1947 Homemade Pies was something to brag about.
The gentleman with the white shirt and tie is also in photo #444. Same tie. Maybe Alva Day was giving him a tour of the local eateries.

Lots of personality and humor showing in this pic. Even making sure that the dog looks at the camera! The guy in the tie is intriguing. Why is he dressed up?

I haven’t much of a clue to anything on this one. I can’t even remember this building. I would think Bill Pattison would have much more info on this particular one. I recall various other buildings between Parkdale and Cooper Spur, all now long gone, but can’t picture this one Someone out there has to know who owned and operated this establishment.
I would think hunckleberry pies might have been a popular item….

The drive from Parkdale to Coper Spur is lovely right now with all the maples firing a colorful array of autumn glory!

I spent part of my grade school summer years during WWII at Cooper Spur Junction
with my grandmother and widow, Jennie Lieby Mc Mullin who then opperated the "Mt.Hood Tavern". It was transformed into " Tamerack Lodge". The buildinng is now a private home..
The photo is of an unfamilar gas station to me. I suggest it may be a version which operated lower down the hiway below Tilly Jane creek.

The chevron credit card sign looks like the same one I bought from Dan Dillard when he owned the spur.
