Notes
We’ve seen plenty of Percy Manser paintings around town, but is seems to be the only image we have of the man himself. I’m not sure when this was taken, but you can read his biography here.
While researching this I was surprise to find Manser once lived in a house we’ve seen before. We have a holiday card from Percy and Clema Manser with a photo of the “Oak Lodge” at 204 Prospect.
Will
I seem to remember a photograph of him sitting and painting outdoors with a crowd of people around him. His work is in the library, Elks Club and HRVMS – any other places to see his paintings?

I have one of his paintings- it’s one of my favorite things I got from my parents home. It’s small, but s full of light and movement .

Our wedding gift from my parents was a Percy Manser painting that has always hung in any house we lived in during the past 58 years.

How timely! The museum has recently been given two paintings by PM. They are featured in our upcoming "Did You Know?" a new bi-weekly feature highlighting items in the museum’s collection.

Roger and I remember the gift our father received on leaving Hood ‘River in 1960 was a very nice PM painting…..yes he lived on Belmont also.

as a followup to my previous posting….father John L. received a gift certification for a Percy Manser painting from his long time employer Hood River County School District. His son, my brother, John W. (now deceased) and wife Barbara went with John and Lois (his wife) to Percy’s home and picked out a fall scene painting with Mountain Hood in the background. The painting is in Barbara’s home. John L. and Lois moved to Corvallis. Thanks Arthur for posting this picture and reminding the Sheldrakes of this important part of our family history.

i lived on avalon way and mowed his lawn during the summer. he gave us a painting for our wedding in 1964. they were wonderful people.
