It’s hard to tell what Alva Day was photographing here, but it’s a great view. Line crew in the foreground, then an orchard, with Mt. Hood in the background. Not sure what he’s doing on that root ball, or why the truck bed is filled with random scraps of wood and steel, but I’m sure we can come up with a story!

Amazing what clear cuts offer. A view of the mountain and place to plant spring flowering fruit trees.

There is a cemetery next to Volunteer Park in Seattle. There is a small plot with Civil War vets interred there. I found it many years ago and was quite surprised. It was in the local news not too long ago.
