Notes

Notes on the reverse indicate “Top 2nd from left: Mildred Foss, Web Foss, Mabel Coon. Lower right: T.R. Coon, Delia Coon.”

The Coons were early residents of Hood River. Delia Coon was a local historian who compiled the book “History of Hood River Pioneers.” Her husband TR Coon was pioneer in the local strawberry farming promoting the Clark Seedless strawberry. He was also a mayor of Hood River in 1903. You can read biographies of the Coons here.

The Foss family were also early residents of Hood River. You can read about the family, as compiled by Delia Coon, here. I am not clear which generation of Fosses we are looking at here.
