L.E., I believe the main water source for the Dalles is up east of Highway 35 off "Surveyor’s Ridge". They are currently working to refurbish it, so there should be a lot of construction up there soon. The old pipe is well buried and the woods have grown considerably in the last 100 years.

I sure see lots of shore line and or sand near the river. Nice pic of Mt Adams for this western side of town at this upper elevation.
