Notes
I originally thought this was the Parker-Roe house, which was relocated for the library expansion. It has a similar detail near the crest of the roof, but it’s definitely a different house. Does anyone recognize it?

I’m not from Hood River, so I wouldn’t know.
I do know it is a beautiful setting.
Looks like boards laid down on the road. Maybe a spring goes through there?

The February 21, 1918 HR Glacier page 7 notes that:
"The city council will take steps to save a number of grand oak trees that line State street. Some of the trees have begun to die, apparently, and the matter of having the causes of the decay investigated was taken up by the city fathers Monday night. The trees will be scientifically pruned.
It is thought that the hard surface placed on the streets has prevented the oaks from securing their usual moisture. Measures will be taken for artificially watering the oaks."
