Historic Hood River
Watson Holmes Fingerprint Camera

Notes
Here’s another fun item from the archives of the Museum: a “Watson Holmes Fingerprint Camera” that was owned by the Hood River County Sheriff’s office. I like how their branding invokes both Watson and Holmes– one fictonal detective wasn’t enough.
The G-Man looking model in their manual is photographing a fingerprint on the inside of an automobile windshield.

I would guess the camera set up was a critical part of forensic evidence collection in it’s time.

Interesting. We do leave our fingerprints when we move the mirror.

Roger, bet our father John, 40s deputy sheriff’s, finger prints are on this device.

I have the exact same model with manual! Wasn’t an easy find.

I have a same one with original case. It seems to be the Burke & James products.
