Charlott 30th December 2019 @ 07:15 AM If you have not seen Wallowa Lake you must go. Have been there numerous times. One year the Crag Rats had their "annual outing" there. One time our family and the Gowlan Wells family together spent a week camping there. Have some wonderful photos of the lake from the top of the mountain as a my Dad and Gowlan took the kids up there, for some reason I didn’t go. Lots of history around that lake as that was the home of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce and he is buried at the end of the lake closest to the town. They have been and are intending to keep natural or pretty much so what they call the East Moraine, which is the huge hillside area on the side of the lake that you drive to the camp ground and Wallowa Lake Resort. Then there is the story of Silvertooth…….up there in the mountains….
