lesse, if that’s Nichol’s boat basin just to the northeast of Front street…

notice the UP train going by in the current photo? very close to the location in the old pic.

also, point of curiosity, the fence along the east right-of-way of Front in the c. 1900 photo also is coincident w/ the east line of the Coe Donation Land Claim, a name that’s been in the news a bit lately! extended north to the river, and south, up the hill through Frahm’s front yard and continues to the bluff of the Hood River just below the the Indian Creek Trail.

I agree, NICELY done! Love the "before" and current photos. In the early photo the water seems really high. And yes, neat UP logo peeking through the trees. Arlen

Good Gosh, I didn’t remember this was called Front Street. It is just a block away from where I lived in the Downing Bldg. (formerly Yasui Bldg.) when I was a kid.
