I usually don’t crop Laraway images since his composition is so careful, but I really wanted you to be able to enjoy some of the details of this elaborate table setting. Each place setting has two forks, two knives, and three spoons. The salad plates are ready to go, which the soup bowls are empty. There are dishes of olives, a plate of bread and tray of some sort of hard biscuits. Check out those lamp shades.

My mother taught me proper place setting for each course of the meal. Then, in high school home ec we had to learn proper place setting.

Quite the picture, quite the inviting scene with the ten elaborate place settings…except no chairs at the table? And the good table cloth, that was rarely used, based on the deep creases that indicates it was kept folded up most of the time.
