Historic Hood River
Swim Season
4-2-2019

Notes
With swim season approaching I thought a view of Koberg Beach was in order. That’s Prince Koberg to the left, watching his charges. I like the way they’ve set up an area for the smaller kids, and a deeper area for swim lessons for the bigger kids. I’m sure they were making many lifelong memories that day.

Nellie
Prince Koberg was an excellent swimmer and teacher.. He did marry and his wife was Dorothy Crayne. He was the father of one son and was only 49 years old when he died in Klamath Falls.
They had that set up probably about as safely as they could, with that boat set there as back up and a life guard at both ends of "the crib" as they called the enclosed swimming areas.
Notice the high water marks on Stanley Rock.
Kyle
I see at least two happy dogs running around as well.
Rachell
Is that a fire on the opposite side of the river? Also looks like a big bird captured in the upper left?
