Driving around the valley is certainly less of a challenge than it used to be, thanks to the efforts of our county public works crews. You’d have to work pretty hard to get this stuck. I’m not sure what the point is of pushing the car from both ends.

Shovels don’t help stored on the running board. Maybe they are going to see if they can lift it out of there, but the surrounding mucky area doesn’t seem to be any better. They could be trying to hold it up from sinking further until help arrives……………Looks like they need horses to go anywhere with it….

I was going to say this looks like Alva Day’s automobile. I guess it is.
Lots of questions about this photo.
What are the wires for that are wrapped around the stump and why are those stumps cut off at a certain height?
They also seem to be in a row. As if they are planted posts.
I see they have a good pry bar and a couple of good shovels. As for why are they pushing from both ends?
Because Alva Day knew we needed some Fun Friday photos.

The person on the right appears to be lifting, not pushing.

They both seem to be grinning (or grimacing) so perhaps they’re clowning for the photographer. Not likely that they’re really trying to lift the car out of the mud.

Also, notice, they’re standing on top of the mud, indicating that it is drying out. That car’s been there for awhile.
