Notes indicate this was taken in the spring of 1939. Is that a Buick? This is one of a set of three images. I suspect they were taken on the Mt. Hood Loop Highway. The name Rolla D. “Hen” Griffith is mentioned on one of the other images in the set.

I see in the 1940 census Rolla Griffith was 33 and living on Tollbridge Road.

He was the son of Jessie N. and Lizzie (Clampton) Griffith. He was born 17 February 1907 and died here in Hood River on 24 August 1941. He attended Hood River High School. His wife was Lois Dimmick, of the old Dimmick family of Parkdale and they married 22 January 1929 in Washington. They were the parents of two children Leanore and Ruth.
