The caption says these Crag Rats are “on the north side of Mt. Ranier solving a hard problem.” I think they are mugging for the camera.
We have 5 names and 4 climbers, so I’m guessing one was the camera man: W.T. Hukari, Andy Anderson, Bill Cochran, Paul Hoerlein, and Clyde Carlos.

W.T. (Bill) Hukari is the one on the left, in the Craig Rat checked shirt.

Clyde Carlos was the brother of Kay Annala, who was married to another Crag Rat, Arne Annala. Their son is Wayne Annala. Clyde as an older man lived right on an outcropping looking right over the ocean right near Agate Beach. My Dad used to visit him periodically when he was down that way.
Paul Hoerlein, I personally know really nothing about, other than his wife’s name was Margaret.
Bill Cochran was from Pine Grove. He never married, as he was married to the out of door life. He was a brother of George Cochran, Mattie Dethman and Maggie Mohr. (The girls were twins.)
Andy Anderson is the one that actually is given credit for getting the organization going. He was the manager of Tum-A-Lum lumber.

Charlott – hello …… a few corrections on your previous post. Clyde Carlos was married to Mamie and they had two children. One was Bernard Carlos and then Kay (Kathleen) Carlos. Clyde lived out on a very dangerous cliff directly out of Depoe Bay. He had built a home there.

Clyde was my grandfather. He is not in this great photo, so he must be the photographer.
