Notes
This object was added to the museum’s collection last week. It is a label from the Hood River Bottling Works for a drink mix. I think the Hood River Bottling Works was the bottling company who was the original tenant of the building at 18th and West Cascade which now houses the Power Station gym and Dirty Fingers Bicycles.

isn’t this senator Kenny J’s company?
Buck Parker
I somehow failed to save the comment I made Friday. I believe Ken Jernstedt bought the company from his wife’s uncle, a man named Bailey, right after WWII. During the 1950s it was located on the east side of 12th Street on the Heights, between Pine and June, more toward June.

thanks Buck…one of the many details I didn’t know. I always figured Ken used the $ he made from serving with the Flying Tigers in China….
