Historic Hood River

This is one of the more curious images in Arline Moore’s photo album.  She carefully documented these details:

13 1/2″ x 16″ Staffordshire platter owned by Clara Marlor.  View is of Sandusky Bay Ohio.  The platter is an heirloom of the Blythe family.

You can see a color image of this same design in this 1899 book from the Boston Public Library.  Mrs. Moore must have been very impressed by this antique.  It’s quite out of place in her small album of pictures from her young life with Max Moore, but it earned a page.
