This view of the Charles Clarke home on Prospect Point (east end of Prospect Avenue) is from a Hood River Commercial Club brochure which dates circa 1910. It hasn’t changed much.
Clarke was a local druggist and a prominent member of the Commercial Club, which was the Chamber of Commerce of the era.
We saw this home when Rod McRae and his wife owned it in this post, and discussed several other owners.

When I was a little girl back in mid to late 60’s, we lived on Prospect. We would ride our bikes to this house which we called “The Mansion”. On Halloween, this was the place to hit for the best candy.
