Here’s a good “Fun Friday” image for this season of celebration. This gas pump has been repurposed to dispense refreshing beverages at a fire department party. I trust the punch was non-alcoholic as the kids seem to be enjoying it too. The closeup view shows there are orange slices floating in the tank.
Perhaps one of these boys is now reading Historic Hood River?

I am sure the man on the right is Darwin Glaze. His mother "Granny" Glaze used to babysit with us. Do you suppose one of the boys is Darwin’s son, Terry?
I guess the Texaco pump came from Elmer Kramer?

Yes, definitely that is Terry’s Dad Darwin. Could be, I will ask Terry if he remembers such a thing. Talk to him very frequently.

Good point Rawhyde. I don’t think I’ve seen a fire department party from this era without a bottle of Seagram’s on the table.

We can rule out one of the boys being Terry Glaze, as asked him and he said no didn’t remember such a thing……..

I can add a name to this photo. The man in the light colored shirt is Clifford Lester, who happened to be a cousin of mine. It took Terry Glaze to say he thought it was and I concur with him…. Clifford Lester was the son of Margaret Anna (Wells) and Jesse Dixon Lester of Lester Auto Freight.
