Historic Hood River
Queen Ana
12-22-2021

Notes
From its early days the Pendleton Roundup has included Native American events and participants. This postcard from 1936 shows Queen Ana and two attendants. I think this means she was the winner of the annual pageant. The roundup is on lands of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla, which includes Umatilla, Cayuse, and Walla Walla.

Really nice to see how beautiful and intricate the clothing and head wear made by Native American Indians.
