I’m not sure it’s fair to use a shotgun in a snowball fight. This is from one of the A. I. Mason family albums. I think that’s a young A. I. Mason on the left. Based on context in the album I date it between 1900 and 1910.
The dog seems eager to be part of the action.

Why would you need a gun up on the mountain? Lots of weight.
