Historic Hood River
Post Office Building
9-9-2022

Notes
This 1936 Alva Day image shows Hood River’s then new post office building. I’m sure we’ll get an automobile ID soon. There is a seated man leaning against the utility pole with a bedroll and a few belongings one block up along 4th Street. This was the depth of the Great Depression. My guess is he was in town hoping for work in one of the packing houses.

Thanks for the "today" view. Any idea what the little shack is for?
