Yet another fine Laraway portrait, this time including an orchard sapling for interest. I’m suspecting that large apple was placed in the tree for composition, but it’s a nice effect. The lighting is perfect, with a highlight on the apples and a sparkle in the dogs eyes.

This is a great picture, well exposed. Love the dog. I was wondering if the lighting is from natural sunlight only or whether he was using some type flash or artificial lighting? The brightness of the foreground subjects makes me think the lighting was enhanced, but maybe just a skillful exposure from the available natural lighting.

When I first opened the photo, I thought that was a huge apple for such a young tree. I’m glad you suspect the apple was placed there. I wonder how long before the tree is productive.
