Notes
I always enjoy these class pictures, and this one is exceptionally sharp. All the boys have combed their hair and everyone is dressed in their Sunday best. A stamp on the reverse indicates this was once owned by Mrs. Riddell Lage.

That is a lot of kids, and I am sure Charlott would be able to name some of them.
With a drummer and the flag, is it some type of patriotic observance?
I see two female teachers, a custodian and perhaps the gentleman next to the custodian is a teacher?
nels
I like to always check what two boys the teacher has seated on either side of her, wondering if she has a firm grip on the knee of each.

I had never heard that before nels….but that one little boy looks like the teacher has a very painful grip on his knee.

I wonder how many of those boys headed off to WW-I a few years later. Many would have been a little young by 1917-18, but some appear to be old enough.
