I can’t imagine climbing a ladder in those shoes.
I know of a lady in the Yakima Valley back in the 1930’s who fell off a ladder while picking apples. She broke her leg and died of tetanus. Tetanus is a bad way to go.

That has to be Wilma Plog. She and her husband Fred were very active in the Odell community. We would often see them as customers in our stores in Odell, Mid-Valley Market and Clem’s Country Store. And at church at the Little Brown Church in Odell.

Kathie– I’m familiar with Olga and Edna Plog, who were sisters. How is Wilma Plog related?

Looks like Bosc pears in box. If this picture was taken in mid to late "˜40s it could be Fred Plog’s wife Wilma. The ladder could well have been manufactured by "Ideal Grader" whom manufactured fruit sorting & grading equipment as well as wooden ladders. They were located on what is now Guignard Drive. If not it could have been manufactured by Columbia Ladder in Portland.

I don’t think that is Mom, Wilma Plog, I think it is more likely Grandma, Emily Plog (Harry’s wife) especially if it is in the 40’s. I will look at ‘young pictures’ of Grandma and check it out. I’ve got lots of old pictures that I need to get through.
