Parkertown Found?

I was recently invited to look through the archives of Farmers Irrigation District to see what treasures they might have accumulated in the 149 years since their first water right was granted. Over the years we have talked about Parkertown and the several mills up in the general area where Binns Hill Road and Riordan Road intersect in Post Canyon, but we’ve never had an exact location. This envelope held the attached surveyor’s description which I believe describes a parcel of land containing Parkertown Spring. Last summer I went looking for the spring with a modern map and advice from several old-timers, but didn’t manage to find anything (did lose a pair of sunglasses though). I’m hoping the detail in this document helps locate the actual spring which serviced the mills in the area.
Fortunately this area is now county forest, so we can explore when the snow and mud settle down. If you get there before I do, make sure you share what you find!

There is a water box at the intersection of Bens and Riordan. I believe the water comes from Ditch Creek. Dick Kobayashi is the guy to ask.
