We saw this image of Dr. Adams’ home, Paradise Farm, ten years ago but this detail is a nice illustration for the discussion we had last week about riding side saddle. While that image may not have actually been a side saddle, I’m pretty confident this one is.

I wonder if this is a daughter or perhaps granddaughter of Dr. Adams?
According to FAG, he had seven daughters. The oldest was born 1845.
